B-HOP WOULD PUT ON HIS GREAT ACTING PERFORMANCE TO GET BREATHER AGAIN. ENOUGH OF THAT. BUTE CAN DEFINITELY STOP AN AGING AND ANCIENT HOPKINS.

Let's say he is a crafty dirty fighter.
He's a bloody crafty cheater and should have been dq'd for that kind of fighting. If he fought opponents without all that dirty tactic crap he probably would have been knocked the **** out by now.

I would be so fn pissed if Hopkins fought anybody else then Dawson/Haye. The only 2 fights that could would make him relevant anymore. Just don't see the point or what he gains by beating Bute who isn't the #1 super middleweight in the world, just another titlelist. Why fight Bute but not Dawson?

I say fight Dawson or Haye, or just retire because he has nothing left to prove and no other interesting fights IMO unless he fights the winner of the super 6.

On FNF he said Bute was a good name opponent as well as Dawson.

Bute definitely brings more money than Dawson at this point. He sold out Montreal's Bell Center (15000+) in 24 hours. Dawson can barely get 5000 fans in his hometown arena.

Bute-Hopkins could probably sell 30k+ tickets at the olympic stadium in Montreal. Hopkins won't find that kind of attraction with any other fighter available to him at this point.

Has Hopkins ever beat anyone as talented as Bute? What is Hopkins best win? Is it Pavlik, Tito, Oscar, or Tarver? Maybe I'm biased, but I think Bute is better then all of those fighters. Sure Bute has some minor flaws but who has Hopkins fought that has that kind of speed and power? Butes a very rare breed type of fighter.

Bute's best attribute, and what I've been most impressed with since the first Andrade fight (Zuniga, Andrade II, and Miranda) is that he knows when to fight cautiously and he knows when to turn it up. He sits down on his punches and places them very well so that his opponents don't see them coming. And he doesn't waste much energy on needless movement - everything is done with a purpose.

He's an intelligent, athletically gifted fighter. But I think he would be seriously challenged by guys like Ward, Dirrell, and possibly Kessler. Not saying he couldn't beat them, just that it's not a given.
