People say Mayweather is safety first, a runner etc, but most boxers would give anything to be able to do what Mayweather can. You might not like his style but you've got to respect it.

this is exactly what im sayin, u look at martinez, u think he wouldnt have fought the way he did for the entire fight if he could???he was jumping in, hitting wit a simple combo, and then he jumped out. he did that until he couldnt and then he started trading. even old ass merchant said he was running. lol...

nyways, im not saying they fight the same, cuz serg's counter punches are nowhere near as crisp as floyds and he's more of an outside fighter. but ill never get how ppl claim floyds style is boring when its the most percise, accurate, clean, unwasteful style in boxing.

No, movement IS his primary style. it sets everything up for him. He's nothing without it. But it's not "running", he's tricky. He'll step to the right and bring a left hand over with him.

Most fighters step to the right, and bring the right hand back with them (bhop).

he he'll step to the left while bringing his left hand over to the right. It's a lot of trickery going on. He'll pivot around you.. or take a double step to the right and pump his left hand 2 or 3 times.

It's got nothing to do with a "bike", it's just that his movement creates openings.. it's his style. Very unorthodox. But he takes many risks in the process.

No.. its different types of traps. martinez has a tricky OFFENSE.. floyd has a tricky DEFENSE.

martinez has tricks up his sleeve with his defense as well though. Leaving his chin out there so he can bring a left over your jab or straight, etc. But that's about it.

Two different type of fights. Floyds best work lies in his defensive abilities whereas martinez's best work is the fact that he has an incredibly cagey offense.
