Tyson easily. Haye's handspeed is so overrated. at Gavin Evans claiming that Haye was the fastest HW since prime Ali. Haye has good handspeed with single punches, particularly his right hand. His combination punching is not fast nor fluid.

Byrd was faster. Tubbs was faster. Dokes was faster. Holyfield was faster.

Watch Haye throw a combination and then watch an early 90s Morrison throw a combination and talk about Haye's amazing handspeed.

Wrong. Tyson was a natural heavyweight. His body at age 16 was every heavyweights dream.

"Unnatural" heavyweights, like Frank Bruno and David Haye will never be as quick as a guy like Tyson, because Tyson is NATURAL. He did not do any weight training AT ALL in his prime. He did calisthenics, running and boxing and the incredible body you saw in the ring was a result. Not many people can look like that without weight training. He was never shredded like Haye.

David Haye is throwing around MUCH more unnatural muscle in the ring.

Weightlifting destroys fast twitch muscle tissue and slows reflexes - Roy Jones rise to heavyweight is a prime example - he lost all of his speed and reflexes.

And I can not understand how anybody could think that Haye is faster at bobbing and weaving, or has faster hand speed. I can only guess that anybody who believes this has never seen any Mike Tyson film.

He was the fastest heavyweight of all time, although guys like Jack Dempsey were incredibly fast and fought at heavyweight, Dempsey never fought over 188 if I recall correctly.

              Tyson by landslide.

                    Tyson easily.

Tyson was an extremely fast Hw, only peak, 210 lb Ali could even come close to Tysons speed. Tyson didn't just have hand speed either, he had everything speed.

Larry Holmes in his prime get's a nod as well.
