Makes sense. A Martinez rematch gets signed in about a day.
Awaits posters claiming hes scared of Pavlik yet wants to rematch a guy that alot of posters say beat him.

Interesting...Williams just got some more respect from me, he did get the W but I felt he lost the fight with Sergio and looked the part at the end by how bad he was ****ed up compered to Sergio that looked as though he hadn't even been touched. Respect to Williams for pulling for the guy to try to make the fight again and get a better win.

It seems obvious the reason my Team Williams is cheering for Martinez. They have milked the idea that Pavlik cancelled his fights with PWill becuase he was "scared". A lot of people on this forum has drank that koolaid.
If Pavlik disposes of Martinez in a clear and unquestionable fashion ( a guy that PWill struggled and barely beat ) then they lose their only negotiating tactic. That plus the fact that Pavlik will become an immediate favorite.
Given the Matchmaking approach of all promoters that dominates boxing (promoters look for the safest fights) that's the best think that could happen to PWill if he want to fight Pavlik. I bet you that if Pavlik badly beats Martinez (no easy task) Arum will be calling Gossen tomorrow to schedule the fight!
