The Myth of Raheem vs Morales

Since some *****'s have put me on the ignore list, i'll voice my opinion in my own thread.

Raheem is a nobody bum, Morales had just come out of a WAR with Manny Pacquiao and even though he won, it still took alot out of his body. Where is Raheem now?, nowhere.... he got lucky that he caught Morales after Manny had already put a beating on him, simple as that. People seem to over look the fact that even tho Morales won on points with Manny, his body still took tremendous punishment that he never recovered from.

I'm saying Pacquiao was the one who made Morales "shot" in the first place.

          My take on it-

I never got why people knock Erik for failing to do what no Mexican boxer has ever done....win a title in their 4th weight class. Chavez, Zarate, Barrera, Marquez and other have never done that. Some of the greats have tried, only to look like **** also in higher classes.

When Morales moved up, he basically gave up all the physical advantages, and never in the history of the sport (atleast to my knowledge) has a smaller fighter moved up in weight, gave up speed and power, and still won. If someone can give me an example, I would be happy to hear of a case when that happened.

FWIW...Morales didn't fight like a shot fighter in the second fight IMO.

Dude I dunno if you can read between the lines but what i'm saying is that the punishement is cumulative and it was the wars with pac that ended Morales career. The first fight took alot out of Morales, then he faught raheem and lost. When he came to fight pac again he had a little less left in the tank, they had another war and Erik got beat down even harder. Third fight... well u can see that the punishment he'd already gone thru in the two previous wars had caught up with him and he had nothing left to give. So short answer "no" i'm not discrediting Pac's win, I'm putting into perspective Erik's loss to Raheem which people seem to bring up in an attempt to discredit Pac's wins over Morales.

it took a toll on his body no doubt but regardless i will always believe a prime fresh morales beats pacquiao all day every day. no shame in that man pacquiao is an all time great who will lose to a great fighter and that isnt shameful.
