No fighter should have to take on the absolute best every time out and it is a historical fact that the overwhelming percentage didn't. Its crazy how everyone today looks at fighters and say they're ducking somebody if they don't fight who they want him to fight every time out. Margs would be a solid test and a probable win to keep a shane or Floyd fight alive if they can't come to terms right away.

I disagree my man. How much has Mayweathers legacy been damaged by not fighting either Cotto or Margs when they were on top and primed at WW? It doesn't matter though. I think they'll try and make this fight. If it can't happen Manny will just have to move on.

Pac-Marg would be a decent fight, but id rather see marg-coto rematch assuming marg beats garcia and cotto beats foreman which i think they will

It wouldve been ok if Margs somewhat redeemed himself by having a couple comeback fights against top guys and looked impressive. But fighting him now is just awkward, you got the # 1 champ p4p fighting a guy who has been off the scene for more than a year & to top it off he was badly beaten by the guy who's supposed to lose to Floyd....oh did I mention the cheating part?


To me this would be worse than Floyd fighting Marquez, at least Marquez was and is a credible name.

*Im not saying Pac/Margs wouldnt be a tough/entertaining fight. It would be, but it would just feel wrong in many ways..
