I love Floyd's fight game, but I hope that he is saying this bull**** to sell the fight. By him talking all of this **** and defending his record he knows himself that this is his first real test in a while. REAL fight fans know that Hatton, Marquez, and a past his prime Oscar were not on Floyd's level skill wise. On the other hand, he knows Shane is his first real test since Diego. He better take this one serious. His legacy is on the line.

what a match up
haters should just go and vote for pacman and fcuk right off
this is a TRUE p4p fight - the first in a long time
far removed from the borefest in the Yankees stadium - with Joshua "can't throw a punch" Clottey
for anybody to down mayweather on boxing class - they are just pig ignorant
he has come up through the weight classes from 130-147, beat quality opposition and taken boxing to the mainstream
- Pac has helped in that respect in the last 2 years
Sugar Shane is a great fighter and will prove to be Floyd's biggest test imo
if Floyd beats Mosley hopefully he will get the full credit he deserves....
then we may be lucky enough to get the modern day boxing classic at 147lb
that is ....if the ex - 112 pounder takes the test..........
just as no man can eat 50 eggs....
no fighter can put on 30+ pounds in body weight and still spark cats out at world level...
- the guy is a phenomenon!

Interesting how Floyd keeps mentioning that the blue print is out on Mosley, and that Shane got beat by nothing more than a jab against Winky. While this is essentially true, Floyd should know that the blue print is out on him as well. For those who may think I'm talking about JLC, you would be wrong. ODLH showed the world how Floyd can be completely owned by a steady, authoritative jab. The greatest myth in this sport in the last decade is that Floyd dominated Oscar. At best, he squeaked by because Oscar lost his focus. For those who question that assesment, I can only say, watch it again. Also, ask yourselves why Floyd pulled out of the rematch with ODLH (his most lucrative fight option). Floyd likes to question Pacquiao's motives for turning down the richest fight he could ever hope to get, so what should we all surmise from Floyd 'retiring' to get out of fighting Oscar again?
I'm pulling for Shane since he's my favorite fighter in the sport (despite the EPO admission), but the smart money is obviously on Floyd. He has without question shown himself to be craftier, more intelligent and the better overall boxer. Though Floyd can be controlled by the jab, Shane doesn't compare at all to Oscar in that department. Even if he did commit to the jab more, Shane just doesn't enjoy Oscar's height advantage to be as effective as Oscar was for six or so rounds. I still think Shane can win this, but I'm also bracing myself for a disappointing night.Last edited by NachoMan; 04-16-2010, 08:02 PM.
