The only difference is that he took a punch better because he
could put on more weight. How did Cotto style change since him
moving up to 147 with Evangelista in his corner? If Cotto would
have beat Margarito and Oscar, then that Floyd/Cotto fight
would have happened, like Floyd wanted to make it happen with
Pac. Fact of the matter is, it wasn't Floyd's job to chase after
Cotto but for Cotto to chase after Floyd because Floyd was
Lineal champ and P4P#1. Where was Cotto? I thought in
Boxing you fight to make it to the top and when your there
up and comers and fighters with something to prove try to make
a fight happen with you? Cotto NEVER mentioned Floyd as a
potential opponent of his, so why should Floyd be tagged with
he ducked or avoided Cotto? The door swings both ways. Just
    not fair homie.

Absolutely Grus. That's what becoming a linear champion is all about. Sitting on the throne and taking on the greatest challenges. People say that Floyd didnt but he did. He reinvigorated boxing by fighting Oscar and then Hatton. Those were big fights that were far more important than a Margarito fight would've been. The receipts from both fights prove that those fights attracted more than the average fight fans. Boxing needed those fights. I got mad love for Cotto also. He is one of my favorite fighters but I think it was very smart of him to not take on Floyd unless it was absolutely necessary. Same with Shane. Now Shane has no choice. He needs this huge payday before riding off into the sunset.

u know i havent seen all of his fights, maybe like the last 7 or 8 but he has always seemed really tight to me

the only way floyd knocks shane out is if he hits him with a truck

mr pot shot, pivot lead right, or jump lead left and duck under and pivot couldnt
            take out a 135lb jmm.

floyd has terrible bad habbits which telegraph his shots.....

if i was shane i would throw 4 punch combos, scoring points, then step back, pivot out and move laterally just adding up points and rounds.

then when he is up 4 rounds to none he can mix in some body work and power shots.

you guys are going to be very surprised by how much shane stays back and moves away after scoring points against a pot shotting single punching floyd.

the blueprint is easier than most think. do not chase this guy, apply efficient pressure, score some with combos and get out......

You my potna and all Amay, but I would like to hear/read of these "bad habits" of Mayweather in which you speak of. I've watched him very closely and haven't seen many, so I'd like to see what you mean as maybe I am overlooking something.

The point is Floyd tried to make the fight happen. it doesn't matter when in this case.

against top fighters. My point is Cotto fight not happening wasn't
all on Floyd because if you go back, Arum hid Cotto from Floyd.
I agree Arum is ****ish himself, because he prefers to keep the money in-house, such as the proposition of pitting Manny against Margarito, which is silly to me but oh well.

I don't want to get into a whole should Manny take the test or not debate. I look at it like this and it's on record. Floyd has stated numerous times that Manny hasn't accomplished anything special, that he's lost before and if he beats him, then it won't be anything special because Manny has in fact lost before--ok fair enough

But then in another breathe, he states that you don't get older and then all of a sudden become extraordinary, it just doesn't happen like that. In one breathe Manny is nothing special, then in another he is concerned that Manny might be taking PEDs because he became extraordinary, does that make sense? Now I'm only using Mays' words, so I'm asking you to make sense of that argument.

Did you see the interview Leonard Ellerbe did with yahoo sports? He promised that Floyd would fight the top dawgs before retiring and mentioned Williams and Pac. I think the Williams fight will eventually happen if Williams keeps winning but the Pac fight I don't know about that one. I would love to see it but I don't see it happening.
