If he loses when/if he challenges for one of the belts, people will say he lost AGAIN in the BIG fight.

The only way he could possibly silence the critics is if he somehow unified all the belts, which is just impossible, I think, for almost ANYONE to do these days with all the politics involved...

I personally am rooting for him to get at least one belt, try for another, then win or lose call it a career.
I don't necessarily agree, I think if Tyson wins just one belt at this point in his career most people will be impressed. There are always those that love him or hate him and will be happy/angry no matter what he does, but he gets any of the 4 major belts it will be an accomplishment considering his age and condition.

I'm in with the group of people who think that he's little more than a sideshow, however, it will still be interesting to see how he does this weekend (but not $50 interesting).

Agreed, nowhere near $50 interesting, especially with the HBO card going on simulataneously. I wish Showtime would pair Tyson with another main event caliber fight if they are going to keep insisting that his fights, no matter the opposition, are PPV. How bout for the next Tyson bout, we get a Marquez-Harrison co-feature? (I know that fight probably wouldn't work because it may be overseas and Frank Warren will be calling the shots)Something like that...not a megafight, but a very solid co-feature...

Wouldn't Tyson work wonderfully as the co-feature to Lacy-Reid for his next fight...little less than two months, perfect time frame and another tune up before a bigger challenge...

Tyson should absolutely not retire after Saturday's bout. I'm intregued by all the positive things being said about Tyson and about how Jeff Fenech is getting the best out of him. I'm optimistic that Tyson can regain some old glory by capturing the WBA belt from Ruiz or the IBF belt from Byrd lining himself up with a bout with WBC champ Vitali Klitscho. After that he should retire. And by the way, great Avatar Mayweather Fan.
