Yes he did, I think it was a marathon called San Blas here, it's 13 miles, he participated in track n' field competitions even before being a star and he always participated in short marathons. His cardiac rhythm was back to normal in 40 secs after every rd.

O definitley, but Bernards gym work can't be denied. You can't be as old as that and successful and make the BK drive through a standing appointment (cough...James Toney).

I don't know, Hagler was a machine. He secluded his social life quite a bit when preparing for a fight.

I agree, you really can't go wrong with a few other fighters though.

Hopkins debuted at 178(? not 100% sure), and then spent 15-16 years at 160 without showing up weight drained and always in great shape. He doesn't leave the gym, even when he isn't fighting either.

I've never seen Hagler train and what I have seen isn't different from other fighters. How many miles did he run? etc. I've heard that Bernard has to be told to stop running because he did it that much.

nobody does, that man trained harder than anyone. Maybe Joe Frazier or Pacquiao.

I heard Tyson trained extremely hard when he had big fights as well.

Hagler would be my pick though.
