Well, I know Mayweather has fought some great fighters, but his rematch with Castillo was way back in 2002', and since then he's fought - Victorino "Blasted out in 4rds by Cotto" Sosa, - Phillipe "The pudding" Ndou, - Demacus "slop slop" Corley, - and Henry "is this guy even ranked?" Brusseles...

Whereas Diego Corrales has fought Casamayor twice, Frietas, & Castillo in the last 18 months alone.

Corrales is now saying that he wants to fight the best light-welterweight in the World 26yr old Ricky Hatton...

And Floyd Mayweather is fighting old Gatti... (I like Gatti, he's been in some amazing fights over the years but he's a bit shot these days and personally I'd rate him about 7th or 8th in the light-welterweight division at the moment). I think there's a lot of fighters at 140lbs I'd tip to beat him.

I do have massive respect for Diego Corrales... He's not taking any breaks and he's hunting out the best in each division.

      hmm

Other P4P fighters like Bernard & Floyd keep fighting guys like Allen & Brusseles.

Corrales only wants BIG fights... And boy does he pick them!
Hopkins is fighting the best middleweight in Taylor next. Still sour over Eastman's loss eh? Ah well.

Also, Eleviel...wish in one hand and **** in the other and see which fills up faster. The ref in the Tszyu-Hatton fight was a joke. I've said all along the fight was fair. Both fighters fought dirty and welcomed it. However, any competent ref penalizes BOTH fighters for their tactics and MAKES them fight by the rules...period. You don't only enforce the rules when only one guy is fighting dirty. The rules are to be enforced every round, every minute. Also, the dirty tactics DID favor Hatton, no matter how you slice it because he won the fight. So it is understandable that people questioned the refs motives.

Personally, I think even with a competent ref that Corrales will lose to Hatton. It would a huge win for Corrales if he won and certainly would cement his legacy even further, but Corrales will not win a war with Hatton. People just need to open their eyes. Hatton is a strong dude, thicker and fresher than Castillo and just as rough. Castillo does not have the mental will to box Hatton all night. He will give in to Hatton's style and brawl.

Thats like me saying Hatton is fighting Pederson or Calzaghe is fighting Mario Veit. My bad he fought Veit twice.

You again!... Personally I think the best middleweight in the World right now is Winky Wright. (I was VERY impressed with the way he filled out at 160lbs).

Bernard has pubicly said that he won't fight Wright. hhmmm... Perhaps he know's he'll be made to look ******?

Taylor's a good fighter, but I think over-rated... Hopkins ain't ******, he won't take a fight unless he's positive he can win it.

That's why he'll fight Taylor but he won't fight Wright.

Taylor is not overrated by most people I think people see he is not polished totally yet, but he is aggressive and has good power and size and youth. He is the best middleweight outside of Hopkins, tied with Wink or just behind him since Winky has only had one fight at 160 vs a former welterweight.

Winky cannot make Nard look ******. I might even pick Wink to win, maybe, but only because Hopkins is older now. Even if they would fight, Hopkins might lose but wouldn't be made a fool out of. Too smart for that.

Tszyu was 100% positive he would beat Hatton, look what happened. I'm sure Roy thought he would beat Tarver in the rematch...etc. etc. Hopkins is older and the clock is ticking. I don't think he is 100% confident he will win anyway, which is why we had the bickering over terms before the contract was settled.

Hopkins scheduled to fight Taylor before Winky beat Tito. Hopkins has stated his intentions all along of fighting Taylor, then the winner of Tarver-Johnson, and recently added a Roy rematch in his plans as his last fight. Hopkins is retiring in or before January so he's not going to stick around to fight everyone. I agree it would be good to fight Winky so I can see Hopkins lose perhaps, but you can't blame him for not fighting Winky when he's fighting guys like Taylor, Tarver, Johnson, Roy etc...which means finally fighting some guys bigger than him.

              Perhaps this needs to restated.

If there's even a chance of this happening that's big news. It would be arguably the biggest double-bill of the decade so far, yet people want to argue about Wright and Hopkins?

If you don't believe this, just ask all those heavyweights that Roy Jones was supposed to fight .

Come on now... You know that when boxing conversations start, they quickly change direction.

That's cool, It's more interesting that way.

                    Calzaghe vs Lacy
                    Hatton vs Corrales

On the same bill would awesome!... And I think it could be a really BIG night for British boxing as I'm confident both fighters would win!

Hatton would put his chin in Diegos chest & push him, hold him, rabbit punch. The ref probably would let it go on because it suits Hatton & Corrales would have a hard time getting full extension on his punches. Hatton has a lower base so he would be able to muscle him & not allow him to do that. Lacy on the other hand is much stronger than Calzaghe & it wouldn't matter there. WHY GO TO ENGLAND TO FIGHT? America is the MECCA of boxing. Make them come here! An American trained ref would not allow it to be a grappling match & Corrales would pick Hatton apart. I think Lacy will win regardless, but unless there is a ref alot more competent than the one in Hatton vs Tszyu Corrales will have a hard time. ITS SO ****IN ****** IF THAT HAPPENS UNLESS A SMOGER OR CORTEZ REFS THE FIGHT & I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS POSSIBLE.
who should hatton go to america to fight a guy who holds no
belts at that weight. if he was fighting gatti, mayweather
or whoever else is holding belts at his weight fair enough.

hatton is calling the shots for 2 reasons. hes the champ at the weight
theyde be fighting at & he will likely fill the 60,000 seater millenium
stadium and make it one of the uks biggest fights in recent history.

ok maybe corrales could fill a 60,000 seater stadium.

hatton will need to fight in the us in a major fight to win over
the american boxing fans but for now hes hot property 7 the man to beat
