Why can't MMA fighters fight a boxer using boxing rules sometime? Why does it always have to be the other way around?

Because it's usually boxing fans gloating about how well a boxer would do in a MMA match.

I have no illusions that a UFC fighter would fail in a boxing ring, just like a boxer would fail in the UFC without MMA skills.

Why is it that MMA fans boo a fighter and ridicule him for constantly taking the fight to the ground, but applaud when they stand up and trade just as boxers do....hmm....people were going in on GSP because he out wrestled Dan Hardy in their last PPV...yet MMA fans hate boxing....????

Because GSP is the Bernard Hopkins of MMA. Dominates all his opponents but does it in boring fashion. The reason they booed him is because against Dan Hardy he kept him on the ground for all five rounds and didn't finish him off or should I say didn't try to finish him off.

Again you take one instance and you wanna apply it to every single match. it would be nice to know what you are talking about before you open your pie hole.

He was boring and refused to take any chances against Hardy. He had him controlled on the ground but refused to go in for the kill which drew out the fight into 5 rounds of GSP putting the arena to sleep.

these are other recent examples of fighters being booed for not standing up and fighting...Poor Jake Shields always gets bood because of this...

I was watching that Sports Science show that used to come on and they said the amount of force generated from a punch with a boxing glove and a MMA glove was relatively the same...so those MMA guys have glass Jaws...

Best way is to spar using 4 ounce gloves. Feel the difference even when blocking.

I am former USMC, so I've seen some bad hand to hand combat instructors who could kill individuals as well....
