Dude, what is your ****ing problem? Did you ever notice that the only people who have replied on this thread have actually read the article? I only listed those parts because those were most interesting parts of the article. Some people may not want to read the article because it's pretty long. And what else am I gonna list positive that not everyone already knows? The article basically shows that Pacquiao is human after all and that his personality shown to the public is basically media based.

Your *******ism shows through and through in your tagalog post right here. I love Manny, he's my favorite fighter by far, but I don't go riding his **** like you. The writer of the article shows that despite Manny's shady connections and the madness that's around him he still can't help but like Manny.

That was some of the wordiest tripe I've read for ages. It just went on and on with cruft all over the place, as if he were writing a bestselling novel or something.

An interesting read, sure, but really could've done without the theatrical performance of getting the point across. I know no more about Pacquiao than I did before reading it.

Read this GQ profile on Manny, it's pretty interesting, pretty long (7 pages) but it's pretty addicting after the first page.

Some notes from the GQ profile:

- Article is written before the Clottey bout.

- When Ariza and Roach kept saying that Koncz "cuts Manny's meat" on 24/7, they weren't lying at all. Koncz actually cuts Manny's steak for him. He even tucks him into bed.

- Manny loves watching himself in between rounds at the MGM on the big screens so much that Roach has to slap him at times.

- Pacquiao's dad left when he was a baby. One day, when Manny was a boy, his dad came back for a few hours to eat his dog and left again.

- He left home when he was young because he knew his mom had too many mouths to feed.

- If Manny was considered a hero in the Philippines, his circle of friends would be considered villains: the Ampatuan family (hated his political rival so much he ordered his son to take him out and anybody "with him". That day 57, including 30 journalists were killed) or Chavit Singson, a political figure who found his mistress with a younger man and obliterated his penis with a hammer.

An example includes when Manny was supposed to throw out the first pitch at a Dodgers game. All the details were ironed out. The problem was that Manny never came because no one ever told him.

It's a hugely interesting read and shows Manny in a positive and not-so-positive light.

According to the article, yes, Koncz cuts his meat and tucks in Manny's blankets while he's on the plane. They eat dogs there because the poverty there is horrible. This is why Floyd shouldn't compare his poverty to Manny's because Manny's was much, much worse. From what I've read on Chavit Singson, the guy is really one corrupt mofo. He may have murdered some people but I don't really know.

a great read. kudos to the writer, he really has the talent and skills to write.

with that long of a feature he almost never failed to make each page fascinating.

its a feature story, so what one would expect but make magnify things that are just common. and make facts a bit controversial. like eating dogs, he didnt explain that eating dogs was an old philippine culture. most of dog eaters, even the rich ones, eat them especially during a drinking spree. eatings dogs is like eating the meat of horse, sheeps, cows, frogs, snakes etc. eating dogs was banned just recently (10 years ago i guess) for reasons of animal rights. but a culture is still a culture. so nothings wrong with that.

on ampatuans, ampatuans are associates of the president. and u know how the president use pacman for sake of popularity. so during parties held by the president u cant avoid brush each others arms. does it mean ur associates just because ur under one party? pacman is now under different party, which is the nacionalista party. why do u think the writer didnt write it?

on chavit. it is true his wife is eyeing other man. but hammering the penis is just a buzz.
