Comments Thread For: Mosley's Trainer Could See Mayweather Folding After Five

As the welterweight mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley draws closer, a lot of interesting scenarios have been discussed. Mosley's trainer, Naazim Richardson, has a very interesting one. Just like Mayweather mentally gave up vs. Judah after 5.

He was already broken mentally in Castillo 1 fight.

You can see in round 12 that Floyd gived up.

The good thing is that it seems both guys think they will start fast which means that it could be action packed from the jump

lol, he got broke and gave up in round 12? Why would anyone give up in round 12? If you made it that far and its close then you obviously would think you could win it in the final round. People give up early or in the middle, not round 12

Floyd is one of the mentally strongest fighters there is. Castillo had him in a tough spot in their first fight and Floyd pulled through. Shane beating Floyd might not be out of the question, but Floyd giving up? Don't see it happening.

BTW I think Floyd's movement and skills will overcome Shane. Shane has never had an easy time with good boxers and nearing age 40 it won't be getting any easier, especially when the best in the business is opposite the ring.

This guy Richardson is a con man. He can't fool me. Shane is so week mentally that he feels the need to say **** like this. If Shane is so strong and so great then why did he need steroids? Because he is unsure about something. He needed a little help. He needed an edge. That doesn't seem like something a guy who is confident would do.

This fight is also a good matchup between two very knowledgable cornermen. Roger talks **** and has said some bizzare things but the guy knows boxing in and out and is a good trainer. And ****m is clearly a very smart trainer and is sharp mentally.
