If Pavlik dominates, will he get credit & will people jump back on the bandwagon?

Pavlik KOs both Martinez and Williams. They wont be able to stand in there against that kind of firepower.

Wait, so Martinez is a welterweight now?

He's the #1 ranked jr. middleweight and his previous fight was at middleweight.

Who lost to Margarito by Ko

      Lost to Williams
That fight could have gone either way, loads of people thought Martinez won.

Williams is also a solid fighter, not some chump.

Had a tough fight with Cintron
Seriously???? I thought Martinez won easy. One of the worst robberies of the year. He also should have won that fight by KO.

You should give Martinez more credit man, he's a good fighter.

Secondly, I remember prior to hopkins this board was FULL of Pavlik fans, remember the days of "Pavlik will knock Calzaghe out!" type of threads every day? Seems like it was so long ago. But since then, Kelly lost to bhop and has fought a couple weak ass opponents. Will a Kelly win get some of those old fans back & possibly gain some new ones as well?

Lastly, if he loses, and loses bad, is it safe to say his career is just about over, meaning, he'll never be on the top again?
I think the Martinez win would be better than the Williams win would be since Martinez is slick and a highly skilled boxer, but fanbois will say Martinez was too small and Pavlik is a bum who ducked Williams and was beaten by Hopkins.

I may be overating Pavlik but winning against Sergio is not a great win for him. If Sergio beats Pavlik he will drop in how I grade him. Beating Sergio does not raise Pavliks grade much in my mind. I think Taylor and Miranda are better fighters at middle weight.

I think Sergio is a small jr middle he looks a little bulked up at that weight to me. And at middle it looks like to much muscle on his frame. Cintron gave him a bit of a fight Cintron was beaten badly by Margarito. Sergio looked like the same style fighter when he fought Margarito to me. And Pwill was beat worse by Quintana who has lost to Cotto and Berto.

So you can see by how I look at things a loss to Sergio lowers how I grade Pavlik. I still grade Pavlik as a A boxer. Unlike most people. Having a staff infection and having bronchits when he fought Hopkins a light heavy did not lower my A grade of Pavlik.
