We’ve prepared to go the distance with Pavlik, but he’s not the same fighter he once was so we believe that Sergio’s speed will be the difference in this fight. This is Sergio’s most important fight of his career so far but its not the most difficult, I say this because Pavlik is the reigning champion at middleweight so a win over Pavlik will take Sergio to the next level. Should we get past Pavlik I’d like to see Sergio take on Antonio Margarito, possibly in the middle of the year and then Paul Williams at the end of the year.”

he's definitely looking for some tough fights wish more guys would do that

if pavlik brings his A game he could ko martinez but it will probably be another close decision probably going pavlik's way coz he's the champ and everyone screaming bloody murder

i was impressed with martinez's performance against williams but i also was slightly dissapointed with williams he seemed abit off but showed great heart and determination to win the fight officially(i had martinez by a round i think)

read what kelly said about martinez's style though i think he's right the same thing that makes him good can be a flaw also (if that makes sense)

i think kelly is smarter than he is giving credit for. i think he struggles early but finds a way to win he has the heart of a champion

He looked physically weak to me at 147 vs Mosley (pre the beatdown) maybe 154 is a good thing for him, he can take Cotto's title if he gets one this week

Margarito's right hand and left uppercut upstairs is solid against lefties. Those were the punches that he worked over Martnez with the first time around and the punches that he got to Williams with.

Margarito would get Mosley'd though. Martinez doesn't allow anyone to get inside and if they do, they had to take a counter shot or are getting clinched. On the inside is margarito's only shot. Martinez is now bigger, faster, and stronger, I'd go so far as to say Margarito has no little to no shot.
