Should Margarito get discredited for his wins?

Can you really get away with plaster or anything hard in your hand wraps? Im just a boxing fan but it seems something like that would be checked out before and after fights. I just hear Margarito getting discredited for some of his wins and Kos. It was a dumb and fcked up thing to attempt to do against Mosley but he got caught. And I don't see how you could get away with it. Does anyone think that you can get in and out of the ring with plaster in your hand wraps? personally I still give him credit for his wins because I don't think you can cheat that way and get away with it.

I think he could get away with it since Espn announcers said he most likely cheated against Cotto. So, I guess that means Espn Announcers know how ****ty the commission is at checking hand-wraps. Or who ever checks them before and possibly after the fight is over.

For the most part my experience has been that what commissions do best is *** up and boxing has an extensive history of all sorts of cheating...in Pryor vs. Arguello there was a "black bottle" incident in which stimulants were allegedly mixed into a black water bottle (illegally) and the commission in miami i believe failed to take any urine tests from the fighters after the fight...you would be amazed what crafty veteran trainers and fighters can get away with. in the days of ali and sonny liston, liston was accused of having an irritant powder on his glove to temporarily blind ali. the sport has a lot of wiggle room...

I can't imagine how he would not use them against a guy who was heavily favored to beat him like Cotto, and then use them right after against a guy who he's a big favorite to beat, like Mosley. Personally I think he started cheating after the Williams loss, when he felt like he needed an edge to win.

Seems to me like if they don't check for having hardened up wraps it would be a big problem in boxing. Sure lots of boxers are class acts and would not attempt to do something like that. But many come from fairly shady backgrounds and are not exactly quire boys. And the last time I heard of some one having plaster in their wraps was back around the time of Jack Dempsey.

But if we have drug testing on hand-wraps! What happens if someone pays someone off to make it test positive!

Then we have more cheating going on! And fighters trying to ruin the reputation of other fighters by rigging tests.

You guys do realise that the OPPONENTS TRAINER checks the hand wraps. Right?

If Evangelista checked Margarito's hand wraps and felt nothing was wrong with them, then there was nothing wrong with them.

The only other possibility is that Evangelista... Cotto's trainer and fucking Uncle for heaven's sake, didn't care if Cotto was seriously hurt.

That's how you can tell that the Cotto fight was legit. Evangelista wouldn't let his own nephew get seriously hurt, he wouldn't let that **** fly.

Espn knows more about it then you would ever know about this topic, I trust Espn and HBO on this subject more then some kid online protecting a cheater.
