What do you want from him? Quintana may not be a world beater but he is a tough gatekeeper. I understand that people don't like him because he clinches but clinching is part of the fight game. The hand speed was good and the power was there(I always knew he wasn't an electric puncher but he is a good puncher). He was pretty accurate too. I was pleased with his performance last night.

          Right on time.

But you guys are taking this a little too seriously. He's a young fighter coming off of a year layoff, with his last fight being against Juan fricken Urango. And if you idiots actually think he'd use the death of his family and destruction of his home land as an excuse to pull out of the biggest payday of his career, and a chance to show what he's made of regardless if he wins or loses (and Shane makes that kinda easier because he struggles against quick fighters even when he KO's them) then you need to consider getting checked up as soon as possible. Reality just isn't for you at the moment.

He made it pretty clear after the fight that he's still rusty. His reflexes and timing were completely off. That alone would have saved him a lot of trouble in this fight.

--He was showing off during a uneventful slap fest with Junior Welter weight Steve forbes =Embarassing

--He hugged and clinched JWW Juan Urango more in 12 rounds then Juans wife had in 15 years of marriage.

--He complains about legal punches, puts on acting debut and again clinches and holds at everychance against Carlos Quintana.

I hope Miguel Cotto or Shane Mosley fight him soon and take his 0 and belt because he doesnt deserve the WBC strap he holds. Plus most of his defenses have been against JWW's which is embarrassing for a man who started his career at 160.

LOL, I freaking love the thread title. Pretty much says it all how I feel about Berto. Nice one man!!!

He lost the first 2 rounds then didnt lose another one and knocked Quintana out. How is his stock down?

Burner, its how he looked and he looked like ****. He never improves. It's the same ol Berto. Plus he clinches too damn much for no reason. Think about it. The only highlight of his career is when he uppercutted that mexican. That's it nothing else. He has no highlight reel.

That same guy says Pac dominated Clottey. When he just out worked him. Q got his head knocked off.

I am glad you was pleased, and credit to Berto for stopping a tough gatekeeper. Quintana is clearly levels above every KO victim of Berto. So I give dude credit for that.

But, he did not dominate like you're saying. Before the stoppage it was still a close fight on the cards. Quintana was still in the fight. Me point to you is that Berto did not dominate him like you saying he did...
