Ali was not popular with all cultural masses. He may have broke
barriers but it wasn't all good media for him. Floyd is just talking
smack to sell a fight as a business man and people act like he
smacked their moms. Marketing/Promtion is the most important
to sell a product. If Floyd was quiet then the Mosley fight wouldn't
even be popping off like it is and has. Someone has to sell the
fight. Perfect example, Pacquiao and Clottey didn't even get a
24/7 because of how boring they are.

I was not saying he does not sell fights.I was agree with the other poster that Ali was more influential.He move more people and did more for his people to uplift them in a trying time.While May only care's for himself I know he has his charity but Ali was more then a charity give he was a voice for his people when they had none.I know it's hard to be that guy now a day's but he could talk smack I don't mind it but you have to admit he is a bit over the top at time.Oh and you also have to admit he is no Ali.

Pac has a lot of supporters from his own country and there is a lot of national pride there. I don't think Floyd would engender the same type of national support in the US.

With Floyd people admire his abilities but don't necessarily admire the man himself.

I bet if Floyd was fighting Clottey that he would of had a
