I would like for that fight to happen just so the whole Pac has never fought an African American fighter can finally be dropped.

But, at the same time I know. Pac WOULD NOT get creidt for that win. They will discredit the win by saying Berto was not ready for Pac. He still needed time to develop. And, TBH that is true. Berto is just not ready right now...

J/K, but it's starting to annoy me that these guys are either showing up looking like ****(ala Quintana) or not trying (Clottey).

What are you talking about? He's 26 & is the wbc welterweight champion. You think he's still a prospect?

ray leonard was 24 when he fought duran.

pacquiao was 25 when he fought MAB the first time.

tyson was 20 when fought trevor berbick.

WTF you talking bout? You think he is still developing?

Berto is not African American. Ledwaba and Clottey are African American.

                    1. Those were in the amateurs. Completely different.

                    2. You have no proof it was controversial, other than Dirrell's word that you heard from a commentator so you can't just say it was. And that was only one of the wins he had over Dirrell. The other was a clear victory for Berto based on what the commentator said.

I don't see how he's overrated. The commentators even said "I don't think Mosley and Mayweather are losing to much sleep over this performance" at one point. It was a good win for Berto and an impressive stoppage, but nothing shocking. Nobody is saying he's ready for the big guys yet. It actually looks like everyone's saying he needs more time. I remember Miguel Cotto having the same problems at his younger days. Quintana showed his lack of defense and Corley and Malignaggi exposed his chin. But later on he grew as a boxer and went on to TKO Zab Judah and decision Shane Mosley. The only overrated guy at 147 is Jan Zaveck...they had the nerve to say he's one of the elite WWs today. LOL

Berto is Haitian-American. You must have skipped the geography section in elementary school.
