Comments Thread For: Mikkel Kessler: "I Hope Froch Doesn't Underestimate Me"

Former champion Mikkel Kessler has gone back to his boxing roots. The favorite to win the Super Six super middleweight tournament was sidelined last November when Andre Ward dominated him on course to a techincal decision in Oakland. After suffering the second loss of his career, Kessler changed everything around in his training camp. He gets a shot at redemption before thousands of his Danish followers when he faces WBC champion Carl Froch on April 24 in Denmark. [Click Here To Read More]

So far home-field has been decisive so you cannot overlook that part. On the other hand the 'away-fighter' so far has had to cross the atlantic which Froch of course does not have to do. It's a big difference difference with 6 or 9 timezones compared to just 1.

Froch will lose to you Kessler, just make sure you tag his chin and box. He has taken some big shots and will drop a few times if you work him IMO

Funny how Froch has twisted and turned things around, and its kessler who is saying he shouldnt be underestimated.
Not long ago, it would be froch saying he hopes kessler dont underestimate him. Kessler used to be the man.
            How things change in boxing.

Wouldn't you want your opponent to underestimate you so you can beat the piss out of them?

Timezones ? Bull****. They all travel well before the fight to ensure that they don't feel any effect.

Home-field advantage has not been that decisive. All fights have been won on home turf, but only Froch had home cooking.

AA ****ed up his chance of a late ko against Dirrell, and Ward ****ed up Kessler period. The fighters away from home have all performed to the best of their ability, and would have lost those same bouts even at home.

Kessler would beat Froch in Nottingham anyway. Can't wait. I would add that I would have liked this fight to take place in Nottingham to see Carl's supporters faces when they would have witnessed him getting KTFO.
