Zab Judah is different, he folds under pressure; atleast Judan can make weight. Guzman on the other hand blows up 40-50 lbs. I agree with those who say Guzman purposely didn't make weight but there was a reason behind that, that would have weakened him having to lose all that weight in a short period of time. Dude lost 41 pounds as it is.

This was an interesting article. It was good to see boxing from the persepective of the nutrionist, who has a critical role in the fighter's preparation. I feel bad for Kayes because I understand that, many times, people who surround themselves with fighters often times are very jealous people and are only interested in the fame and want credit for that fighters greatness. Whereas, it seemed Kaye sees past all those little things and truly wants to be professional and do his job. It is funny because many times a fighter will be satisfied saying to his friends, "alright, well, you'll be conditioning coach, and you'll be my nutrionist..." but it is important to realize that people who are more qualified should be given the respect they have earned.

doesn't matter if judah ***s up in the ring and guzman ***s up outside the ring. the point is, these guys lack discipline and can never become as great a floyd or pac.

if you watch floyd and pac work in the gym during training, they are very disciplined and work hard.

guzman is a fat **** who doesn't give 100% in training. he's a waste of talent.

what really pissed me off is when he went to Kaye and got weighed (had him at 154) he gave a 'sheepish, shy' grin like a little kid or some ****...grow up and respect your profession...he needs to move his ass up to 147 and get his ass kicked

Very unprofessional of Guzman and his team. It's a shame that Kayes was treated so poorly, he sounds like he has a lot of good knowledge to offer.

But he how is he going to get his act together? The man 30 plus and surrounded by Yes men, He could have been one of the top men in boxing 5 years ago with all his skills and ring generalship but nothing!

I actually feel sorry for Kayes, How a little man like Guzman comes into camp at 185 is beyond me, He just doesnt have the desire to make it big in boxing.

Guzman is about as relevant as an old Nun with breast implants at this point, and it’s funny you’re on point about him moving up to 147 that sad part is I think he’d come in overweight in that weight class too. LOL
