Bernard hopkins wants fight with lucian bute

I don`t understand what is the whole hype on Lucian Bute.Everytime a fight scores a knockout he`s hype as the new God of boxing.

For example:


Jermaine Taylor,Samuel Peter,Kelly Pavlik,Mikkel Kessler,Carl Froch,Arthur Abraham,etc.


As soon as they fight someone with a pulse then ya`ll say"He`s been exposed".

Ya`ll should have known he was a bum before they fought someone with a pulse.

bute is all hype.. Hes not fast.. his defense is not tight....he wings a lot of punches..

So you guys will rank Dirrell ahead of Bute just cuz of ONE win? And, he beat a guy who best win in the division is a damaged Taylor? ....

Fair enough on that point but Dirrell also had a very close fight against Froch(he probably won the fight). Dirrell is fighting better opponents and has been looking great in doing so. We need to stop being so heavily focused on losses and undefeated records and more focused on whos the better fighters. Dirrell is better than Bute.

That Taylor is equal to Miranda or Andrade. If Taylor is ****, so are those two guys.

Miranda is **** now, Miranda and Taylor were ruined by Pavlik. And Andrade although was beaten up by Kessler didn't seem to get brutally KO'd and affected by it too much. I mean Andrade went on to have good solid wins over Yusaf Mack, Robert Stieglitz, a good fight for him in the first Bute fight, and a solid win over Vitali Tsypko.

Pavlik ruined Miranda and Taylor, neither of those two have looked like they are at their best anymore because in the back of their mind they know that any given second they can be stopped again. Something happens to alot of fighters when they get stopped, they get a little bit mentally weaker. Not many come back stronger after getting brutally KO'd.

If Hopkins wanted Haye at HW and Haye refused why not fight James he got a belt and is a old school fighter, I bet some people would love to see that fight...i'd buy.

Hmm? Froch hasn't beat kessler, he lost to dirrell and he narrowly almost lost to taylor.

I think based on his RESUME you could make the case that Froch is #1 right now, but if you take a closer look (robbery of dirrell) he shouldn't be.

That's why I would personally have Bute at 1, Froch or Ward at 2.

Even with all that said he also beat Pascal. Pascal is greater than Miranda or Andrade at this point. I want to see Bute against a real fighter. Not just some puncher with a solid chin.

helll i'd b down for a ppv press conference watch on a Hop/Toney fight lol the words would get no better the trash talken would b wayyy better than the fight prob

Triangle Theories don't normally work thats why, though Hopkins always seemed to have problems with fighters with a good amount of hand-speed. That is why he tries to clinch the hell out of them to slow them down. BHOP lets out some old-school tactics when he has to fight someone who has a speed advantage over him.

I much rather see Hopkins vs. Dawson

Hopkins would make close to the same amount fighting Bute if he fought Dawson.

So Hopkins just want easy big paydays.
