Hopkins has never gotten seriously hurt. He should continue but the problem is he doesn't want to fight any top LHW, Haye already turned him down, so who is he going to fight? more Middleweights at 175? The Super 6 contestants are all busy as well. Jermain Taylor-Bernard Hopkins III could have been a last resort fight but Taylor is currently not in the mood to fight. Hopkins has nobody left unless he does what he does best and fights a Middleweight.

And Dawson, well that one he could've taken but he made a reasonable explanation why he didn't, saying that Dawson brings nothing to the table financially as a draw/ticket-seller, or legacy wise, so why try beating a guy who could be the future once the old-timers are retired for good.
In conclusion, Hopkins at his age is entitled to cherry-pick, he beat a young guy in Pavlik and that's enough. Still doesn't mean he is gonna fight bums because as he put it, he needs something that motivates him to keep going so whoever it is, is who it is.

Have some consideration for the reader before you post these atrocities.
