AA and his phantom low blows are worse than Andre Dirrell falling to the mat every chance he gets.

I wish the worst for AA in this tournament. The absolute worst.

Had he not won the fight I'm sure he would. It was not like the referee was overly biased IMO. He was 'just' incompetent in every facet.

I would argue to suspend the ref again because we could all get behind that but to change the DQ to a NC would take a miracle. Dirrell won the fight and AA was close to a KO to bad Lawrence Cole wasn't in any position to be a good ref. He might have made at least 7 bad decisions in that fight alone.

Cole's missed calls and improper positioning in the ring at least contributed to the atmosphere that led to Arthur's supposed illegal "KO" of Dirrell (though I do believe Gumby knew he was about to get sparked and did a most Oscar-worthy acting job). Arthur just didn't hit him hard enough to cause the kind of convulsions Gumby went into after a couple of seconds of thinking "what should I do now?"

And I the same for Gumby: I hope Abraham gets a rematch and decapitates him.

But I wish even worse for referee Cole, who should never be seen in a boxing ring again.

Well, as he'd never lost before, maybe he'll get better at it, though I hope he doesn't experience it too often, myself.

But I should add: two fights for Andre "Gumby" Dirrell and two fights that end in all kinds of name-calling and controversy. I've got the feeling that this is going to continue with Dirrell. He's annoying, as Froch pointed out, the kind of guy that just irritates you with his antics of falling down all the time, running, whining, and so on. I'll be surprised if we DON'T have a Dirrell fight that ends in some kind of problem.

By the way, I noticed the other black fighters on 360 were all rooting for Gumby over Arthur (before the "low blow"). And I noticed that Froch and Kessler both said Dirrell was "acting" later. This tournament is really doing lots for Euro-American race relations!

The disqualified call was issued in the eleventh round when Dirrell slipped to the mat and Abraham hit him while still down. [Click Here To Read More]

Chances of a new fight or change in the result appears slim.
****k sauerland. take the loss and get revenge later.

The referee, Laurence Cole was pretty awful in that fight. Seems the occasion got to him. Was nearly as bad as Joe Cortez in the Hatton/Mayweather fight.

From what I saw the ropes were the only thing holding AA up at that point. Anyway, he should just get over it and move on.
true. and from what i see team AA is saying its everyones fault but AA's the ref is not at fault for AA hitting a downed man. i doubt this protest will be effective. and will only bring more negative attention to the king. he should just move on.
