according to a report in bild, sauerland event, promoters for arthur abraham, have officially protested the fighter's disqualification loss to andre dirrell. The fight took place on march 27 at the joe louis arena in detroit, michigan. Sauerland filed a protest with the wbc. The disqualified call was issued in the eleventh round when dirrell slipped to the mat and abraham hit him while still down. [click here to read more]

so why didn't they file a petition for the ref not calling th kd of the king into the ropes? Why not file a petition about stopping the fight and allowing the doctor to come to ring and stop his cut from bleeding? Why no petition for that????

well if you look at a replay, dirrell hit aa with his forearm and not his glove which is a foul and the ref made the right call there....but aa should suck it up and just take the lose like a man

To be fair its his promoter that filed the protest not AA. Almost all fighter dont control what happens out of the ring in cases like this. His promoter and manager didnt like it so they filed it...AA probably hasnt even found out that this has happened yet

Look at it again and you will see no part of the glove touched him...plus you can hit with only the padding part of the glove so the taped wrist area is off limits too
