I'm telling you, if Spinks was still around in the WW division, there wouldn't even be talks of other fighters. All these guys here would be talking about Spinks and nothing else. It is abvious some here did not see Spinks in his PRIMEComment

I believe they almost fought, but Floyd chose either Oscar or Baldomir (just can't remember who or when that was).
Spinks might have beat Floyd and the other top Welterweights. But Spinks style is way to boring because he is too much of a runner. He makes Floyd look like a combination or Mayorga and Gatti.Comment

That's not what my sources had told me. Corey was after May but he got scared and didn't want none of itComment

120, Spinks was very good but these other guys are good too. He's not moping the floor with any of them. They would be good fights to watch and I would give him a shot but he shouldnt be favored over any of them except for maybe Cotto. I mean he did get stopped by Zab and I thought Zab won the 1st fight or was a drawComment

The current Corey Spinks would get KO'd or embarrassed by all the top welters. I think he's a paper champ at JMW. The prime Spinks was solid.Comment

So Cory gets knocked out by Judah, yet you believe he would "wipe the floor" with the current welterweight crop...
. "Wipe the floor" is laughable.
Spinks was a very good, solid, and underrated fighter, but a prime version of Cory would not "wipe the floor" with the elite at 147. Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Mosley would really test Spinks' will and I have almost no doubt that Pacquiao would stop him. I say that because Spinks doesn't do as good against southpaws (especially quick ones) as he does against orthodox stance fighters.
He'd beat Berto, but have a problem against Clottey.Comment
