At this point How would you rate Jeff Lacy?

We know how Calzaghe handled him. but his losses to a SUPER SHOT RJJ and NIL EMPTY Jermain Taylor suggests that maybe ....maybe he wasnt that good?

He never matched the hype the american media put on him.

That being said the Calzaghe beating took a lot out of him. Particularly nasty beatings sometimes does that. Also the injured rotator cuff plays a big part in him looking like a shell of a fighter.

Did the injury had a big part on his losses? IYO

Yes. Not Calzaghe as the injury was in the Tsypko fight.

Such an injury I believe takes a long time to heal sufficiently and sometimes it never gets back to what it was. At least that's what I've read when NFL-players has had the injury.

Rotatorcuff injuries are mean. They take from 6-12 months to heal, and that's if you ever recover. I've been dealing with mine for about 24 months, and I don't think I'll ever be able to lift weights again, which is a great disadvantage compared to the other figthers out there. Plus your function of the given arm is greatly redused.

I'm no Calzaghe fan, but the beating he put on Lacy definitely took something out of him. His confidence wasn't the same, and he didn't possess that invincibilty he carried before. Maybe, he just wasn't that good to begin with?

It's easy to look back and say he was a mediocre hype job now, But if you look back at his early career its obvious the guy had something going for him. Lacy was a good, strong up and coming fighter but Calzaghe totally outclassed him and beat him so badly I think it took alot out of him mentally and physically.

When you look at his record, He still only lost to Calzaghe, Taylor and RJJ. 3 very good fighters in their prime, RJJ wasnt prime but the guy is still one of the best Light Heavyweight's in history.

Lacy could still have a decent career but I dont think he will

he's lost every fight cept manfredo since calzaghe as far as im concerned. he lost to omar sheika before he even fought calzaghe so i'm not sure how you can blame the "beating" or his shoulder injury on that one. anyone who loses to sheika or is being outboxed by rubin williams before catching him probably isn't very good.

Given the injury affected him. Medical tests are given and you cant fight if you're not really fit to fight.

Roy god kayoed in 1 and appears to be just 20% of his super self for a long time now. and Taylor got kayoed 3 times out of the 4 times he lost in a span of 5 fights. Yeah the one he beat was Lacy.

If Lacy is just anywhere near as good as he was rated then he should have at least beat one of these two empty men.
