Comments Thread For: Quintana in Top Form, Ready For The Berto Upset

Former welterweight champion Carlos Quintana is in great shape as he heads to Florida for Saturday's fight against WBC champion Andre Berto. Quintana has been fighting as a junior middleweight but agreed to drop in weight for the Berto opportunity. He weighed 148-pounds on Wednesday; only one pound under the welterweight limit. Quintana expects no problems with making weight on Friday. [Click Here To Read More]

Great fight coming up. Too bad nobody is talking about it. It's no surprise that Quintana who was a career welterweight had no problems making weight. He is probably lighter than Berto right now. Still expect excuses though.

This should be a good fight. I like Quintana's chances in this fight because Berto didn't look so great the last time he was in with a southpaw, but I'm not writing Berto off though he is still quick and throws those dangerous uppercuts. I'm just hoping that Berto doesn't do too much holding like usual.

Collazo lost a close fight. Had he won the last two rounds, he would have won the fight. But he got outfought. And I don't think Berto vs Quintana is going to the scorecards anyway.

Yea that was pretty bogus, but that is why I'm picking Quintana in this fight because Berto has obvious troubles with southpaws and his conditioning doesn't seem that great that's why he is always holding so much. So yea, even though he may be up against the judges Quintana still has a good chance to pull out the win.

I don't really even see it as an "upset" if Quintana wins. PWill caught him cold in their rematch, and I highly doubt Beto can match that firepower. Quintana is a live dog in this one, and I won't at all be suprised if he drops or even stops Berto.
