The first time I saw Roy Jones was on Tuesday Night Fights (USA NETWORK). What a joy Roy Jones Jr. was to watch. My God! I've never seen a more flawless fighter in their prime.

I'm a Mayweather and Pacquiao fan, and neither one of these guys have a thing on PRIME JONES.

It's a shame his career (like mayweathers) was surrounded by so much criticism and hate.

The man started his career at 154 and wound up winning the HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE.

    Roy will be missed.

Kinda scary/sad how many people on here never seen a prime roy jones.

That likely means you never seen a prime hopkins, trinidad, oscar de la hoya, etc etc etc etc

he role of the villain is something that HBO set him up for and floyd just took it and ran with it. it's natural to him.

can you get Floyds **** out of your mouth for one second..you bring him into every convo that has nothing to do with him..

I like Roy's logic, he is all about his title and being the champion.

"If you're # 1 contender I don't care what your name is, i'm fighting you".

I just watched the vid and thats not really a prime RJ. He was a little past it by then but still the #1 ranked guy. He was 33 then just like Floyd is now

i know they were, hence why I made this thread, in comparison to present day with Floyd on top.

I just stated my view over which logic I preferred of the two, and I prefer Roy's.
