They even gave a bunch of special room deals so people would go to the fight.
anyway.. say someone pays 800 bucks to see the fight live. That's the price of 16 PPV buys alone.Comment

not sure.. from what I remember they had seats from 100 to 2000 dollars for the fight. I could be wrong.. but in general a live attendance seat generates more rev.Comment

are you ******? the most they could've crammed into the MGM for the Marquez fight was 17k and they had to postpone the fight because tickets weren't selling.

When he says "live gate" I believe he meant dollar$.
Were the dollar$ for Floyd-Marquez more than the dollar$ for Clottey-Pacquiao?Comment

Whats funny is the same high rollers that spend big money on Floyd fights are the same high rollers that spend the same big money when Manny fights in vegas.
It's Absurd to think that Floyd outsells pacman in anyway shape or form.
Let's also not forget that Manny has the largest PPV event for a fight held in the Jr. Lightweight division which is a division that Floyd himself fought in. Floyd was still fighting on BAD when he was in that division.Comment

Party Passes Available For Pacquiao-Clottey
Top Rank Boxing and Cowboys Stadium announced Friday the release of Party Pass tickets to this Saturday’s welterweight championship fight between Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey. These general admission tickets offer an excellent view and will be priced at $35 each. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster by visiting online at ticketmaster.com or by calling toll free, 800-755-3000.
Party pass tickets give fans a chance to enjoy pre-fight festivities in the plazas outside Cowboys Stadium and access to six party decks located in the end zones of the stadium. Standing room viewing along the party deck rails is on a first come, first served basis. Large video screens with live broadcasts of the fight are on the plazas just outside the party decks.Comment

How the **** do you add 30,000 seats to the MGM grand? You would have to build a whole new arena to add 30,000 seats. Plus last time I was in Vegas the MGM grand only seated 17,157.
Here is a link to prove it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MGM_Grand_Garden_Arena
Talk about making **** up just to hype a ***ing fight!!Comment
