its basically watching the PPV at some convention center hall, auditorium, ballroom, etc.
people who cant get in the arena cuz its sold out will pay and go to these closed circuit showings.

so basically when he says they'll open up 30,000 more "seats", he means theyre gonna open a bunch of folding chairs at some other location outside of the arena.

closed circuit means it's not at the venue itself but nearby.. in a room with a giant television. people pay usually around 30 to 40 dollars to watch the fight. it's not actual attendance though.

I wouldn't be surprised. Allegedly, GBP counted beer sales as PPV buys on bars (for Floyd-JMM).

GBP is also considering if they will also add up all the peanuts & chips that will be consumed during the fight. It’s going to be a record breaking fight in terms of live attendance.

Beginning this Saturday, the first episode of 24/7 will air and in the coming weeks leading up to the bout, there's quite a few conference calls, open workouts and press conferences already scheduled.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena will play host to the highly-anticipated bout. Although it's seating capacity is just shy of 20,000 (somewhere between 17-20,000, depending on whether or not additional seating is added), several other closed-circuit locations will be available throughout Las Vegas. "We do plan as well, later on, to go on sale with closed-circuit locations. I think we're going to have up to 30,000 or more seats available in Las Vegas. This is this kind of event which really warrants this kind of live gate and live audience," Schaefer added. Is it just me or does anyone else think that it's more than just a coincidence that they're hoping to make 30,000 "or more" seats available on top of the 17-20,000 already in the arena?

How the **** do you add 30,000 seats to the MGM grand? You would have to build a whole new arena to add 30,000 seats. Plus last time I was in Vegas the MGM grand only seated 17,157.

trust me.. if they could, they would but they can't so they wont.
one live attendance seat is usually worth the price of 3 or more PPV buys.. a live seat generates more revenue. It would be smart to put it in a large stadium if they knew people would show but the sad part about Floyd is that his fan boys claim they love him to death but will never buy a ticket to go see him fight live, because they aren't real fans.
So the fight gets stuck at a smaller venue and they sell closed circuit seats which are way cheaper.
