What I think happened personally. I think when Schafer skipped the meeting with Jerry Jones is what really hurt the fight. Everything was agreed upon, everything was going smooth until that happened. I also don't think there was enough time to promote such a world wide event. This is a fight that the whole World wanted to see and you need press tours, world tours for this type of event. And, there was not enough time to make it happen. For such a huge event you need more time. This is why I think the fight didn't get done. And, I think the fight would get done later this year.
i cant agree about the whole manny cares about money like floyd. but the rest of what u said is very interesting and totally possible.

If Manny wants to just have exciting fights where he trades with his opponent he should stick to fighting smaller guys. I'm not saying Roach hasn't helped him with his defense or technical skills, but we all love Manny because he's willing to trade.

Eventually a big heart will lose to a big man. That's just the name of the game. If you were to tell me Manny planned on going into tough battles with bigger guys like Margarito, Williams, Pavlik, etc. I'd say he's going to be cutting his career short. Yes, I know Kelly is far, far too big for Manny...I'm just saying there's a limit to the size of guys Pacquiao should be dancing with.

A fighter like Mosley and Floyd is going to cost him way more than someone like Margacheato. Mosley is going to want at least 15 million like he got for fighting Floyd. Margacheato would take 5 million to fight Manny.
He could figh the winner of Cotto-Foreman for an 8th title here in the U.S. That **** in New York would be pretty big and you keep everything in house. And, Arum would make more money off of that than fighting Marg in the PI.

And, if he is going to fight in the PI then why pick a Mexican? How many Mexicans are there in the PI? What is this conspiracy theory, SEPTEMBER, MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY, MEXICAN FIGHTER, IN HOUSE, then PI? Why? If you going to have a Mexican fighter in a Mexican holiday then you going to make that fight where Mexicans is at.

And, out of curiousity. Where did you get that Pac gives up 80% of his money from?

This scenerio only makes sense in the U.S or Mexico. But, you would get more money in the U.S.

I just don't see the sense in Mexican holiday, Mexican fighter, but no Mexican fans. So it makes no sense to me to have this fight in the PI at all....

Cotto, Manny, and TR would have to pay state taxes if the fight takes place in New York. Mexicans are the biggest fan base in boxing and they would sell more PPVs by putting Margacheato against Manny.

They take 80% of what Pacquiao makes

BS. Since Pacquiao fought Cotto and passed the test as a welterweight he already said he's staying at 147. Either keep up with the times or stop spreading false / outdated information. The most important thing you didn't mention -- Mosley said he would be willing to go down as far as 140 to fight Pacquiao. Maybe you overlooked this fact.

And that still wasn't enough to convince Pacquiao.

He avoided Shane. End of story.

Yeah Mosley begged him for a fight . Pac wanted no parts. Thats well documented.

Roach even told Shane to his face he was too good to fight Pac.

the fact is, Pac has gone on record as saying he'll fight Mosley if he beats Floyd. Duh. So all this 'Pac avoided Shane' is kind of a moot point.
