I know Manny's happy to have a fighter with a killer instinct, Cotto won't need to be berated into going for a KO if it's there for him. Hope it works out, I always liked Cotto but I don't think 154 is the best class for him.

Good for Cotto. He deserves someone in his corner that he's confident with.

Hope Cotto gets through the fight without any major punishment. He's a warrior, but he deserves a healthy life post boxing.

I think a trainer like steward would upgrade Cotto to the fullest!!!Wladimir is a beast but has no chin..yet he beats them all up..with great defense and jabs,Cotto with great defense will be extreme..nuf said.....Had Cotto use defense against Pac like Clottey plus offense Cotto would of killed pac..But he got hurt in the fourth cause of no defense!!!

damn ,canelo will have a hell of a time when he faces cotto jr cause steward
is pretty good.i hope miguel listens and learns from steward .this could be very good for his confidence and his career.

Expect Cotto to throw nothing but jabs from now on. I've always liked Cotto & agree its good to tighten up his defense as he taken alot of punches over his career but I don't feel Manny Steward is a good match for Cotto. I think Cotto needs a conditioner like Roach or Joe Goossen, someone who can get him into tip top shape, get him into the shape he used to be in when he could fight 12 hard rounds no problem cos Cotto is a 8 round fighter nowadays, he needs someone to push him hard on the pads, heavy bag & in sparring & although Steward is a brilliant trainer I don't feel he is the man to do that.

anyone but santiago, but cotto isn't a typical steward type fighter, but learning how to clinch would really help cotto's stamina. also cotto does have a good jab that steward loves.
