Mayweather is a better verison of prime RJJ?

completely different. rjj taunted his opponents a lot. he had a better offense.

I don't understand comments like this. EVERYONE gets weaker with age. Roy Jones was 35 when he lost. Most fighters are finished by then. And most of them don't already have 50 fights, titles in multiple divisions, etc.

Totally different. Roy relied on his reflexes, footwork and handspeed to beat people. He was unconventional. Barely threw jabs. Leaping, whipping left hooks and lead right hands. Excellent hand and footspeed. Mayweather's more conventional. Excellent defence, offence, right hand, jab, chin, speed. Plus the reflexes of Roy.

Not even close to the same reflexes as Prime Roy. Not even close.

Disagree two of My favs here and there nothing alike, Floyd is almost like Jones talent with Hopkins skill and patience, actually more he is more skilled and smarter than B-Hop. Floyd is his own thing really he is special.

Again not even close. Floyd is a great fighter and he definitely has athletic ability, but he relies more on the technical side to enhance his athletic ability where Roy Jones did whatever he wanted to do and the hell with being technical.

yeah most people get weaker by age, but what i meant was mayweather has the style that would make him at least competitive with the elite way past his prime.

They seem to fail to realise that he was at retirement age before he was legitimately defeated, after a 15 year career, most of which was spent at the top of the sport.

Some guy the other day said Roy got exposed. He never got exposed, he got OLD!!

How does somebody at the top of the sport for nearly 15 years and the only living human to hold the Middleweight AND Heavyweight belt get exposed??!!!
