Who has Floyd beaten better than James Toney??

Different types of fighters. Jones was the more physically gifted fighter. Faster hands for both single shots and combinations. I think Mayweather's hand speed, especially above 130, is overrated. I'm more impressed with other aspects of his game, particularly his accuracy (though he's picky to a fault with his punches).

Jones was the better combination puncher. He hit harder. They both incorporated some unorthodox and technically incorrect parts to their fighting style but I get the feeling that Mayweather does it more by design. He leaves his left hand low, but he's trying to lure his opponent to jab and then he'll come over with the pull counter right. I noticed he does this more against shorter fighters with shorter arms. He also walks back in a straight line to the ropes, but it's often to get the opponent to throw shots and waste energy while Mayweather blocks and slips. Where as Jones was well past his best and still leaving his left hand way low and paying the price dearly for it.

Pot shots don't knock guys out... There's a difference. Pot shotting is what Leonard did with Hagler.

If you think Leonard Only Pot-shotted against Hagler then I suggest you watch the fight again. Combo’s and movement is what allowed him to coast to a decision…
