Devon Alexander should be ranked #1 at 140. Here's why.

Witter quit because of an injury.

You're holding Bradley's lack of power against him, in regards to the Holt statement? With the exception of three or four rounds, Bradley won that fight.

I also don't hold the fact that Alexander has two belts against Bradley. Hell, one could argue that Alexander has Bradley's belt...

Also, I don't think he's ducking him. Wait and see how things unfold for a bit.

Bradley vacated the belt because the WBC wanted him to fight Alexander shortly after he beat Holt.

        EDIT: I was wrong. http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=19332

Devon should be #1 by virtue of having two belts, IMO.

To be the top guy, you have to beat him and no one has beaten Bradley,I agree if Devon beats Maidana then Bradley should fight him next for 140 lb supremacy...having said that I think Bradley takes it.

If Alexander beats Maidana.. Alex is #1
If Maidana beats Alexander.. Maidana is #1

But for right now.. Bradley is #1

I would not rank anyone the king of 140 unless they fight each other or paulie malignaggi.

As much as I hate the guido I think he could outbox both bradley and alexander.

Now Holt was a decent win or Bradley, but he got knocked down twice in the fight and failed to stop him when Holt in turn went on to quit in his next fight. Not a very impressive win. It's right on par with Alexander's win over Corley. Edner Cherry is a guy who had to move up in weight and he's a gatekeeper, nothing more.

Now Bradley's win over Lamont Peterson was a good win because it was against an undefeated contender who is a natural 140 lber. And Alexander KOd Urango who had never been stopped before, so they are both good wins.

Another reason why Alexander should be ranked higher is because he has two of the belts and Bradley only has one. Last and the main reason Alexander should be ranked over Bradley: Bradley is ducking him.
