Devon Alexander should be ranked #1 at 140. Here's why.

Bradley is not ducking Alexander.

I think its close but Bradley is #1 right now.

If Alexander beats Maidana he becomes #1 no matter what Bradley does at 147.

I honestly don't think that Bradley is ducking Devon and I have spoken on this before. I think the more they build the fight between these two, the better it will be for BOTH OF THEM in their respective careers. I just hope neither one of them loses before they meet each other.

It's right on par with Alexander's win over Corley. Edner Cherry is a guy who had to move up in weight and he's a gatekeeper, nothing more.

Now Bradley's win over Lamont Peterson was a good win because it was against an undefeated contender who is a natural 140 lber. And Alexander KOd Urango who had never been stopped before, so they are both good wins.

Another reason why Alexander should be ranked higher is because he has two of the belts and Bradley only has one. Last and the main reason Alexander should be ranked over Bradley: Bradley is ducking him.

you have a point, and alexander is more polished imho, but bradley got there first and alexander has to knock him off to get the spot.

If bradley chasing fights with floyd and pac is considered ducking then I guess he is.

Their resumes are basically the same and Alexander has KOd two of the opponents who are his signature wins and Bradley went the distance with them. And one guy is holding the fight up. And yeah, Alexander should be #1 with no questions if he beats Maidana, but I've got my doubts about that fight happening because HBO doesn't know what a good fight is. They won't put the money up for it to satisfy both guys.

Lol @ one of the reasons being he has 2 belts...One of those belts used to be Bradley's before he gave it up.

So then there's another reason Alexander should be ranked over him. Bradley gave up his belt to avoid him even if Campell was more highly regarded at the time.

wrong he had to give up one of his belts..he had the wbc/and the wbo after he beat holt..even before the fight sauliman was threatening to strip him
