with hatton vs tszyu, i don't think it was incompetence at all but rather .....you say it!
I don't think he made a mistake at all, and Tony Weeks is far from incompetent. He had a split second to make the choice between ruling that the roped were holding Castillo and issuing an 8 count, or calling the fight. He erred on the side of caution, and having watched that sequence over and over and over, I would have done the same.

The mouthpiece crap was just that, crap. Diego was a ***** for spitting it, but the rules were followed to a T and Weeks didn't ler him linger in the corned. Plus, Corrales didn't look hurt in either KD. It was a ***** move on Castillo's part to a governing body the loves it some Mexicans.

Part of me has to wonder if the reason that Tszyu didn't come out for the 12th was the constant, blatant, unwarned fouling in Hatton's back yard. Still no excude to quit on the stool, though.
I guess we just have to wait and see what comes out over the next few days. The fact he was so gracious and said he was very tired, more so than ever before in his career seemed like he accepted the defeat. So it will be interesting if anything comes out in the next couple of days

I don't think Tszyu will initiate anything, but I can see the IBF not wanting this going down on their record. They always review tapes after fights, anyway.

Now that is interesting. It would be very interesting if the IBF over ruled the decision. Imagine the uproar in England!

I'm going to watch the fight again Moday and record every foul by each fighter just to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me tonight.

Tszyu isn't retiring, he will win a big fight then he will step down.

Yeah. He cannot go out after a loss. He will do a Judah or a DLH fight and then it will be retirement. I can see a huge gate for a DLH fight.
