Will Berto still be a Paper Champ after this Saturday?

What does Berto have to do vs Quintana to legitimize his status as a Real 147lbs Champion. Or will Quintana whoop Berto and relieve him of his status as Paper Champ.

Yes he will still be a paper champ

the real champ is Manny, and the winner of the may 1st fight will definetly have a front running spot towards the number 1 spot. This fight is more like a tune up, and measuring stick to see where berto stands. If he dominates it will show his skills, and if he struggles it will also show his skills, yet not in such a good way.

Hell yes, some of you guys are so hypocritical. People were saying Cotto was this great welterweight when he beat Quintana and Judah.

I agree with this. I've been critical of Berto. I think Collazo got the wrong decision but Collazo doesn't suck.

I don't know about "elite" (because I don't know how much Quintana has left) but a first round KO wouldn't change the fact that he's a paper titlist.

Did Quintana lose something? He did beat Paul Williams 3 fights ago...

Well thats double standards in the flesh because I clearly remember people were praising Cotto after he beat Quintana and Judah. He beat a less proven Quintana for the vacant belt. Then he beat Judah coming off back to back losses to Baldomir and Mayweather.
