I think some of the guy's on the list are just too big for Manny. Hearns was yapping dude's out at 190. While Manny has improved over the year's, he would be getting hit by one of the biggest puncher's WW has ever seen. Hearn's was a BEAST at 147. Same could be said of Tito.

Co-sign. People forget that Manny is really a LW over achieving at WW. When Roy beat Ruiz and Toney beat Holyfield, no one was trying to compare them to the ATG HW's let alone the best HW's at that time (Like Lewis, Klitshcko etc).

When you say skill set. what do you mean by that?? pac's only achilles heel is his defense and that has really improved since his move up in weight. If he has to he can be elusive ie(pacquiao-de la hoya or Pacquiao-hatton). Nobody in boxing today can equal pac's offensive game. what skill set you talking about? running??

I don't even consider his defense that much of an achilles heel. Is it the best in boxing? Hell no...but if I were to rate it on a scale of 1-10, I would give pac a 7 possible an 8. People fail to realize that Pac was intentional allowing himself to get hit against Cotto and Clottey in an attempt to A) get them to open up and B) gauge their power (in Cotto fight)

I dissagree on that. Paul Williams, Andre Dirrell and some others throw every punch in the book just like Pac. Even Floyds offesne is great.

When I say skill set This is what I mean.

Pac is a fast, powerful, explosive, brawler hwo can only win fights if he throws a lot of punches. If you put him in the ring with a guy like Sweet Pea. A guy who will move, counter, dissapear, counter again and not make himself an easy targhet and spin Pac he will get out classed. Look at the JMM fight. It was basic as hell. All JMM did was step back and counter he did it over and over.

A brawler who can only win fights by throwing a lot of punchers? I swear sometimes I wonder if you have ever seen a Pac fight. Another thing...Pac has improve to the point that I doubt any counter puncher stands a chance against him. If some tries to counter him right now....Manny will eat them alive.

That's all up for debate because it's an opinion. The best skilled fighter doesn't always win the fight, that's why they actually fight in the 1st place.

my favorite fighter of all time is the man on my avatar, and i don't think any guy around welter or middleweight today can stand in the same ring as him.

that said, it's funny how much time people spend talking **** about the best fighters in the world. are you guys even fans? do you even like the sport? do you even want it to succeed? or do you wanna keep it in a shiny little glass box for you to admire while the new boxers crumble? it's possible that a guy like tommy hearns would box the **** out of little manny pacquiao, or that duran would steamroll floyd. or maybe somebody would pull an upset, which is what boxers do sometimes. we'll never, ever know.

its no secret Pac is not a skilled fighter..styles make fights and he has had the fortune of being matched up with fighters at a certain time to make himself look better than what he really is..truth is if he faced a slick fighter he would be outclassed in a second..and it just so happens that alot of ATGs are slick fighters..and thats why he loses to them..if ever Floyd/Pac meet up..and when Floyd makes Pac look like a clown in the ring...just imagine what those ATG fighters would do..(the same ATG fighters who say would beat Floyd) so once Floyd beats Pac..there will be no argument here anymore!
