Those two really put a beating on each other but i saw a video of him talking recently and i feel so sorry for him, Thats why i think fighters should get as much money as they could before retiring from boxing.

Meldrick Taylor were one of the greater talents of boxing, just a shame he got a Philly heart! Just sad to see it get wasted, he could've won that fight easily in the end :/ Though those Legendary Nights are kind of a good series

Yeah. Taylor had a few good wins after Chavez.

Taylor was a prototypical philly fighter and participated in those heated gym-war like sparring sessions on a daily basis. He pays the sad price now.

I wonder if he had made the HOF if Taylor had taken a fatal shot after being allowed to continue.

I agree. Taylor wasn't robbed for anything, he claerly wasn't ready. He even got more chances then anyone else would've had. But the red light was on, so it's a situational decision. I don't blame him.

i agree the time left in the fight shud not dictate wether u wave the fight off or not if the fighters not fit to continue its your duty as the ref to get him out of there
