People say that it was okay for him to quit because he a family to feed. Well **** that, the guy's in boxing, he's come all this way okay and he knows the risks. This isn't freakin' doily-making. He's made a lot of money in this profession and he was making a lot of money for this fight and I'm sorry but he is obliged to act as a professional would in this sort of situation.

I don't like comparing boxing to war but think about if a soldier wussed out on the front lines because things were going bad and then gave the excuse that he had a "family to feed". **** that, you do what your profession dictates you to do. And it's not like Kostya was going to get killed in there. ****, a lot of guys get beat bad and got out there and humiliate themselves round after round until it's over. ****, it's not like he had even been knocked down yet. Seriously, how hurt could he have been?

I find it funny that people critcize Hopkins for not behaving as a "warrior" should yet defend Kostya for what he did. Hopkins at least finishes what he starts even if sometimes he doesn't come in guns blazing and take more punishment as a result. This guy quits on the stool and it's okay because he has a family to feed?
    Excellent post.
