All you Yanks had to show for yourself at the time yes. I heard endless storys about how Jeff Lacy was the best thing since sliced bread. All that hype for nothing, he was humiliated.

And I said possibly the greatest of all-time. Id actually rank Hagler and maybe Archie Moore ahead of him but no one else.
Not even close man.. not even close.

Pull the supermid-light heavy lists up, the dude is no where near the greatest.

Infact, at lightheavy, Evander Holyfield demolishes him, and I don't think he'd want any of Spinks

You know Burner was probably one of the main people riding Lacy's **** at the time...lol. That is, if he was actually into boxing then.

The guy was a real talent, a very long time champion, and a damn good fighter.

He retired 46-0 while beating some good opponents regardless of what some think.

He is maybe the best 168lber ever, and then he moves up and in his 1st fight he beats lineal 175lb champ Hopkins who was old yes but Joe was 36 at the time.

I just don't understand what so many ppl hate about him.

I liked watching his fights, he kept up the action and had a very unique style.
