Is Chris Eubank the best British boxer of all time?

For me he is definetly one of the best, You can make a case for Lennox or Calzaghe also. Actually id proberbly have Lennox as no1 but Eubank had a good case too. He made 19 defences of the Super Middleweight title and holds wins over Nigel Benn, Graciano Rocchigiani and Michael Watson (twice) and also had 2 controversial fights with Steve Collins. Calzaghe did beat him but he was way past his best at that point.

What do you think? How good was Eubank and where does he stand in terms of the great boxers from the UK?

I`d say Lewis is the best british boxer of all time.

Eubank is ahead of Joe Calzaghe though in my eyes easily.

Of all time, Thats why. Calzaghe was a good boxer but he fought Chris at SMW meaning he had to come down to LHW after the losses to Collins. Prime vs Prime id have Chris winning the fight. Also because Calzaghe didnt beat someone like a prime Nigel Benn, Eubank did.

The Collins fights weren't really controversial. I've heard a few people say they scored the first for Chris, but the majority didn't.

His win over Benn is very impressive, and he did make a lot of title defences and fight all over the world, but I don't think his resume is quite as good as that of Lewis or Calzaghe.
