about 17% of americans now have german descent.

that percentage was higher in the 40's.

Did the UK need the US's to take back the Falklands? Probably not. Did I say the UK needed the US to take back the Falklands? No (don't put words in my mouth).

Besides it was Margaret Thatcher herself that said (AND I QUOTE) without the Sidewinder "supplied to us by US Defence Minister Caspar Weinberger, we could never have got back the Falklands." (by the way did you read that part on my last post? probably not).
thatcher and reagan were very close.

that's just political talk. there was a lot of criticism of the united states in britain at the time because of their lack of assistance during the war.

america did not want to get involved. they did not want to appear to take sides between american south american allies and their british allies.

those weapons were never used in the falklands. what the british used in the falklands was weapons they already had.

look up the date when those weapons were delivered and the date when the royal navy fleet set sail for the south atlantic.

don't try to argue on this matter. you have no basis for your argument.

britain went on pretty much on its own with minimal aid from the u.s.

                you're not dealing with facts.

the americans main goal throughout the conflict was to stop the conflict.

america considered both countries as allies. britain is the more traditional and more important ally but the u.s. is not just taking the argentines in consideration but the whole of south america.

america didn't give britain support (verbally) until after britain was able to get support from the europeans and the UN. even then it was lukewarm support. america wouldn't have even given britain that much support if it wasn't for the fact that argentine couldn't even get support from the OAS.

you don't know what you're talking about.

don't talk when you don't know much about a subject.
