I don't know about that. What I do know is that there's a bunch of deserving fighters Jones did not fight.

Hopkins is an ATG and Toney is first ballot HOF. McCallum, Griffin, Hill are all very good fighters. Add Reggie Johnson, Tarver and Ruiz. I mean seriously do I need to tell you which fighters were good fighters? You know. Julio Gonzales went on to beat Glen Johnson and Darius Michelaskiowski after Roy embarrassed him.

I dont think bernard changed very much from his fight with roy to his championship fights from later that decade.

There is not one light heavyweight ever that I would have picked over jones in his prime.

McCallum was 40 when Jones fought him.

                    Hopkins was kinda green.

I think Toney and Virgil Hill were the best names on his resume.

His resume is pretty good, not spectacular.

Probably because he beat the 2nd best SMW ever by a wide margin.
