I know its getting harder to remember the jones of the 90's with each fight he takes now, but do not think this is even half of what the great RJJ was .I know most of you know this but I see a few younger guys that just don't know.
He would have beat bernard with ease if bernard would have took the rematch back in 02.I dont think there has ever been a fighter that would have beaten that jones, I just wish he could have got more meaningful fights while he was prime.

as far as pure talent goes, RJJ had the greatest potential that I have ever followed. His handspeed and reflexes were just awesome. I never considered him to be technically proficient but his physical gifts of speed and reaction were light years away from competition.

The problem with that however, is that you cannot bring it with age. Everyone is bound to get slower, both in movement and reaction time. Jones has never learned the true fundamentals that could've made him better with age. Instead, he relied on attributes which he had in the 90s that is clearly absent nowadays.

The man was a freak of nature and we'll never see another like him. Everytime a young fighter with athletic ability and good hand speed come along there touted as the next Roy Jones when in reality there athletic gifts pale in comparison. The man is an ATG I hope he retires while hes still mentally sharp.
