Exactly what was so exciting about Haye last night?

4 Knockdowns + great power/speed on show both guys actually in Shape too..

Haye is absolutely right Chambers/Arreola are a disgrace to boxing the way they came in all out of shape, look at Ruiz, Hopkins, Jones about 40 years old on average looking all cut. Yet these bums are fat slobs.

Completely agree with thread starter. Haye had his moments last night, but I felt he could have done more, thrown more punches. He looked pretty good, I am not ready to pump his tires yet but it wasn't a bad performance at all.

Wow. After watching the dross served up by the Klitchskos I would say Haye was pretty exciting. He actually moves and lets his hands go, no safety first jab-jab-jab until the opponent is worn down and almost begging to be KOd.
Ruiz is a hard man, he took some big punches and it's hard to look good against him. Haye did the job and with some style.
Agree with the comments about his weight, I think he should stay at the weight he fought Valuev, keep that agility and speed.

Haye made a John Ruiz fight bearable to watch, part of the credit goes to Ruiz who did actually change his style somewhat but still, it's hard to be in an exciting fight with Ruiz.

Did Haye dazzle me with his skills or anything like that? Not really, the Klitschkos should be able to beat him but one thing is for sure with Haye, he'll show up to fight and go down in flames, he won't just lay down or take a beating without firing back.

Watching Ruiz get KO'd was a treat, though had it been Haye I'd be just as happy.

hayes performance wasnt bad, its just that he could have done much more

he was only engaging with anything other than that sweeping jab when ruiz was attacking him

a superbly conditioned haye wouldve gotten him out of there in the first 3 rounds, however haye wasnt throwing in bunches and it wasnt like he was scared of ruizs power or anything

Haye's workrate was far too low for my liking. The Klitschkos will eat him alive if he shows up like that against them.
