I think part of the problem was just Haye was relatively out of shape. He wasnt as cut as he nomally is, and he was huffing and puffing after just 4 rounds.

Although, I will say that it was exciting for a RUIZ fight. Maybe thats what people mean..

I shouldn't have mentioned the Klitschkos name at all, thats my fault.
I thought it was exciting on both sides, not just because of Haye though, probably more because of Ruiz who refused to quit.

It was exciting full stop for a heavyweight fight. A bit one sided but that's not Haye's fault.

I wasnt implying that it was a very boring fight, I just think it was being blown out of proportion.

I really, REALLY want to see W Klitschko vs. Haye. This fight has to happen.

That was the most exciting fight Ruiz was ever in. Thanks to Haye. On a side note, Haye did foul allot out of excitement, he looked a tidy slow for his own standards as if he's still getting used to the extra weight. He realizes after the Valuev fight, he needs even more pop to make people go into retreat mode, where he can be a killer. Ruiz had a big effect on that, no one ever looks good vs Ruiz, Haye did.

No one expected much from a Ruiz fight and it actually was exciting and even though it could have been Ruiz trying to lean and hold onto him for twelve rounds Haye but boxed excellently and showed more than one dimension.

Well it was pretty exciting compared to the Valuev fight.

It wasn't great but nore was it boring, it defiantly had a little more flare to it than recent HW bouts which have been incredibly boring! We all knew Haye was odds on to win.. However it was just a tune up for Haye which he needed to establish himself a little more in the HW division. And yes i agree Wlad vs Haye must be next in line, let's hope they start negotiating soon as this is the fight in the HW division boxing fans want to see.

he did, but he didn't look at his most sharp. I thought it was telling the one of the first things he said after the fight was that he was 'going to have an early night'. Not sure he was in peak condition for this one, but he didn't really need to be such was the gulf in class.

In terms of championship HW boxing, it was exciting. Haye was letting his hands go, and Ruiz was unwilling to quit and was moving forward. It wasn't fight of the year but it was an entertaining little scrap.

People have knocked Ruiz down, and easily out pointed him (Tua and Roy Jones) but no one has beat Ruiz up and knocked him out (and probably broken his nose by the looks of things) the way Haye did last night. No one could have expected Ruiz to have as much heart as that in light of his usual style. It was a performance in the sense that Haye destroyed a solid Heavyweight and in style.
